Jewel's Tiny House Gem

HGTV’s Tiny House, Big Living: Jewel builds an extravagant tiny house-on-wheels with lots of luxuries!

North Carolina project manager Jewel Pearson can’t wait to leave her apartment lifestyle behind and embark on her very own tiny house journey! Built for a queen, this modern 330-square foot design might seem a bit extravagant to an outsider, but for Jewel a 6ft x 3ft closet is a necessity! So are the screened-in porch and a balcony! Jewel, aka Ms. Gypsy Soul, plans to blend all of her favorite household luxuries with the freedom of the open road!

Designing a Life & a Tiny Home

On our tiny house road trip stop to Charlotte, NC, we sat down with the vibrant Jewel Pearson, better known as Ms Gypsy Soul. Jewel shares insights into her journey to tiny living, including the ups & downs of her build, working with the city and finding the just-right parking spot. Her tiny life is much more than her tiny house, it’s her key to a freer way of life. Includes a tour of Jewel’s beautiful tiny house!

I Live In A Tiny House | The New Homesmiths | Apartment Therapy

In this six-part series, The New Homesmiths, we meet people changing how they live — and redefining the meaning of “home” in the process. A new episode will launch each Tuesday. Our first episode features Jewel Pearson—self-proclaimed Ms. Gypsy Soul—who has built one of the most personal, custom tiny houses we’ve ever seen. There from the very start of the design, through to the construction (with a fair amount of DIY work herself), to finding the plot of land her tiny house is nestled on, it’s no wonder Jewel’s considered an expert in the world of tiny homes, and generously shares her knowledge of the process through tiny house tours, tiny house plans, consultations, advice and more, with anyone interested in learning about—and possibly joining—the tiny house movement. “I followed a long standing dream and life desire and the end result is a pretty funky tiny house, if I do say so myself,” wrote Jewel.
